Sketchbook
Reflections
Aloha, in art we have Ms. Getzen as our teacher, and we completed a project that required us to, every Wednesday draw a sketch, or picture in our art journals, then at the end of the quarter, we pout them all together, and turned them in. In all we had 5 sketches. This assignment had very loose instructions, so we could be creative, and draw whatever we wanted.
I chose to share this work sample on my portfolio for the student led conferences, because I spent a long time on all my drawings, and I am really proud of them. I also really enjoyed the project, because it made me excited for art class, because we got to do whatever we wanted in our sketchbook.
I feel that this assignment represents self directional skills, because there were no set instructions on what we needed to draw, we just got to complete it using our own direction and creativity.
I think that this sample demonstrates my growth because It allowed me to hone in on my drawing skills, and I became much better at drawing and sketching through this assignment.
I could improve on this assignment, by maybe doing more full page pictures. If I could start over, I would probably spend more time on my drawings, so they could be more detailed, and bigger.
