Reflection
This assignment in math was a really fun and creative take. For thus assignment, we had to write our name using the angles that we learned from unit 1. We were given a list of angels, lines, and other instances that we had to create in the writing of our name. Some examples of the instances that had to occur include obtuse angle, 3 rays, supplementary angle, ect. We also had to make a key, and the colors in the key had to correspond to the colors of each angle in our name.
I feel that this assignment adresses self directional skills, because this was an open ended assignment that we could get very creative and unique on. I feel that I had to manage my time, and direct myself to get this project done, and meet all the requirements in time. So I related self direction to doing this project.
From this assignment I am most proud of my use of all the angles in my name. I think that my innovative way to integrate the angles into words was successful.
I developed my self directional skills when completing this project because I was forced to think outside the box, and this project helped my practice thinking on my own, and directing myself.
The most difficult thing about completing this assignment was trying to fit all the requirements for the different types of angles into 6 letters, because each letter only has so much room.
I could improve on this work by spending more time outlining the letters in sharpie, so it could look more neat. If I could start over I would use my last name as well so I could have more room for all the angles.
This work relates to what I have learned in the past, because for the past month we have been learning about these angles, and how to define them.
This relates to my future learning because I can apply this knowledge of the angles to future unit tests/midterms, and also when I work with more shapes in my future learning of geometry.
